Reading Psalm 41
Even my close friend, someone I trusted, one who shared my bread, has turned against me.Psalm 41:9 NIV
This verse gives an image of a character we might consider a “Judas”. Our friends, even dear friends, might believe rumours spoken by others that are not true, or they may act in some way against us. When this happens it is deeply hurting, I’ve experienced it in churches, and maybe you have too. I wonder how we might repay these actions (verse 10)?
Jesus example would be to repay in Love. We are to be people of integrity, we know the God of mercy and grace. Why not pray today for any “enemy” you have, and also for your friends, that they might be blessed by God.
